electric blues and also rock off their CD "Inner Truth". The power
vocals of Nola Boice and the driven guitar work of Dave Braulick "the
electric man" with the solid rhythm section of Floyd Roberson on drums
and Hutch Hutchinson on bass makes this an experienced band that electrifies
your mind and energizes your soul.
Icelick is born!!
Out of the musical hearts and souls of cofounders,
Nola Boice (Songwriter, Power Vocalist and Keyboard Player) and Dave Braulick
(songwriter, guitar player and vocalist) comes "Icelick"... your
new, New Age Rock Band. Here's is how this all happened and we call it the
music store connection. Nola and Dave were living in the same town. A few
months before their meeting, Nola had been writing and playing her keyboard
and kept hearing a guitar. It wasn't only the guitar sound that was haunting
her but a series of guitar licks. Over and over she continued to hear this
particular guitar sound. One day venturing into the local music store, she
stopped and held her breath as she was hearing the exact guitar licks. Over
in the maze of guitars and amplifiers sat Dave trying out a few guitars. She
did not approach him but bought one of his CD's that was sitting on the counter.
She had to make sure this was actually the guy playing. After hearing the
CD, she realized that this was indeed what she had been hearing all of this
time. She gave Dave a call, introduced herself and invited him to come over
to jam.
Their music connection was evident from the beginning
and as it continued to gel, the thoughts of playing and creating musically
together came to the surface--- Nola, at that time, was relocating to Sedona, AZ, conferred with Dave about meeting up in Eugene and forming a new band.
After a couple of months, Dave moved to Eugene and Icelick was born. The name
was formed by using the last three letters of Boice and the last four letters
of Braulick. The name took on a whole new meaning and it turned into a New
Age Rock Band. Their debut CD, "Inner Truth" means what it says
in their conviction to put out powerful music. Their "make you think"
style of writing comes from their positive outlook on life and want to share
their views with the world. "Inner Truth" is what a lot of people
are missing in life. And people are caught up in and concentrate on things
that are not that important". Things in life, such as "why we are
here and where we are going" is what is important. Icelick's new debut
CD "Inner Truth" fulfills their dream of taking you beyond the average....
into the world of "Icelick" and now, you have arrived!!!!!!
